Welcome!

Do you have time for a short story?

There was once two friends, one of the friends was a travelling salesman and his work took him out of town, sometimes up to three months. While coming back from one of his three month roadtrips he drives into town and passing his friend's place he sees a sign outside his place. The sign read "Custom Cabinets By Kurt". This sign wasn't there when he left so he went in to speak with his friend.

"Kurt, since when did you become a maker of custom cabinets?" He asked his friend.

"Well as you know I did try for a while making custom chairs, but it just didn't turn out so well." Kurt replied.

"What do you mean it didn't turn out so well?" The man asked. "You didn't get any business?"

"Well that was partially it, but what really I discovered is that I don't have any woodworking skills." Kurt confessed.

"But Kurt, to build custom cabinet as you are now advertising also takes woodworking skills!" The man replied in shock.

"Yes, of course I know that" Kurt looked at his friend as if he was stupid. "But this time I thought things would be different".

*I originally heard this story from a recording of Guy Finley.

Happy Face

Yes we can all laugh at Kurt and the rediculousness of his thought process, but how many times have we tried the same thing over and over again hoping that this time would be different?

Why do we do this? It's not because we are not intelligent. It's that the mind that is trying to figure out how to change our life is the same mind that has worked so hard to get us into the life situation that we are in.

So what can we do? How do we change our lives? How do we move from pain and suffering to joy and peace?

Is it even at all possible?

If you are one of the many people wanting to truly make a change in your life, please feel reassured that you are not alone!

And it is possible!

So, how do we truly change our lives for the better?

There are a great deal of methods and tequniques available to people who want to change their lives. As a therapist and change facilitator I can only speak to the methods and tequniques that I have used personally to change my life. Everything that I share with people in my practice I have personally experineced as part of my ongoing transformation towards joy and peace.

To answer the above question briefly, from my own personal experience we experince pain and suffering because of our ideas and beliefs about who we are and what the world is like. True change comes from releasing these ideas and beliefs that do not serve us and discovering a greater perspective of what the world is like and most importantly who we are.

As most of these ideas and beliefs dwell in our subconsious mind, the change process is focused in that are of our mind. There are a number of methods that I use to address the subconscious ideas and beliefs. One method is hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy allows a person to uncover the subconscious and actually have a discussion with the different aspects of the self to be found there. Another method used is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). EFT works with the energy circuits of the body and allows us to access energy patterns in the body. These energy patterns are usually imprinted from earlier in a person's life and continue to affect our current life. I also use a technique of welcoming and releasing the beliefs. Once the subconscious causes are made conscious, cognitive therapy is often used to assimilate the new learning or understanding into the individual's life.

If this rings true with you and resonates with your inner voice then I invite you to contact me and we can explore the possibilities together.

To Your Transformation!

“Happiness and peace is our root nature. The process is not to try and add more to our being (a better body, more money, fame, etc),the process is about removing, dissolving, and sometimes embracing the barriers that keep us from realizing our true nature.”
